WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) – Orders for goods produced in U.S. factories fell 1.0% in September to mark the second decline in a row, the Commerce Department said Tuesday. That was weaker than Wall Street had expected. Orders for durable goods — products meant to last at least three years — declined 1.2% in September. Orders for nondurable goods slipped 0.8%. In August, orders fell by a revised 2.1%.
