The S&P 500 opened off 2 points, or 0.1%, at 2,335, hovering near record close, set on Tuesday. The Nasdaq Composite began the session down 5 points, or 0.1% at 5,777. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat 20,503 at the open.
