The Nasdaq Composite index inched 9 points, or 0.1% lower to 6,446. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was nearly unchanged at 22,411 at the open. Among the best performers on Wall Street, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. surged after reports that Tesla was working with the chipmaker.
