Tesla Motors Inc. and SolarCity Corp. set their shareholder meeting to vote on their deal for Nov. 17, the companies said in a statement Wednesday. “Over the next few weeks, Tesla will share important updates regarding our strategic plan,” including an Oct. 28 event that will unveil a solar roof product to be used along Tesla’s stationary batteries and “will show the kinds of products that the combined company will be able to create,” Tesla said. On Nov. 1, Tesla will provide additional financial information about its plans for the combined company, it said. Tesla shares ticked slightly higher after the announcement but lost some steam as the session progressed.
