Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd said on Thursday that its mobile payments system Samsung Pay will launch in the U.S. on September 28 and in South Korea on August 20. The announcement comes after Senior Vice President for mobile Injong Rhee told investors in June that the company would postpone the initial launch in order to have it coincide with Samsung’s next flagship model. Samsung said in a statement that it plans to roll out the service in the U.K., Spain and China, with partners to be named in each market.
