PepsiCo Inc. said late Friday its board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of 80.5 cents a share, a 7% increase compared with the comparable year-earlier period. The move is consistent with PepsiCo’s previously announced increase in its annualized dividend to $3.22 a share, from $3.01 a share, which began with the June payment, the company said. The dividend is payable on Jan. 8 to shareholders of record on Dec. 1. Shares were flat in after-hours trading after ending the regular session down 0.5%.
