Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Friday he is “100% confident” the debt ceiling will be raised and there’s “no scenario” under which the U.S. won’t pay its bills. “The debt ceiling will be raised in September,” Mnuchin told reporters at the White House, where he was participating in a briefing about sanctions on Venezuela. Mnuchin also said he’s confident tax reform can be completed by the end of the year.
