Andrew Cuomo’s first deputy counsel was critically injured after being shot in the head in Brooklyn early Monday, according to a media report, citing a statement from the governor’s office. Carey Gabay, 43, was struck by a stray bullet at about 3:45 a.m. as he and his brother walked past an altercation that occurred before the West Indian Day Parade, according to ABC station WABC-TV in New York. Gabay remains in critical condition.
