After a tumultuous week, Ellen Pao resigned as interim chief executive of Internet discussion forum Reddit on Friday. Pao, who became the face of gender discrimination in Silicon Valley after suing venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, had been under fire from users of the site after a popular employee was fired last week. Reddit announced that Pao left “by mutual agreement” and would be replaced by co-founder and former CEO Steve Huffman.
