Dollar falls as Yellen offers no clues about liftoff

The dollar weakened Thursday after Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen offered no guidance about the central bank’s outlook on the economy, or the likelihood of an interest-rate increase in December. The euro rose to $1.0767 after the remarks, from $1.0727 earlier in the session. The dollar weakened to 122.84 yen from 122.97 yen earlier. The British pound rose to $1.5223, from $1.5185.
