Church files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to stay $5M foreclosure

The Christian Family Church International in Jupiter didn’t want to start the New Year by losing its sanctuary to foreclosure so it filed Chapter 11 in hopes of finding financial redemption with its creditors.

In October, Church Loans & Investments Trust and Herring Bank, both of Amarillo, Texas, won a $4.7 million foreclosure judgment against the non-profit.
