Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. said Tuesday that kids will eat free each Sunday in September with the purchase of an entree. Kids meal include a build-your-own option and a quesadilla. The news comes a day after Chipotle announced a free drink promotion for high school and college students during September to coincide with back-to-school. Both promotions will count towards Chipotle’s loyalty program, Chiptopia. Chipotle shares are down 0.8% in Tuesday trading, and down 42% for the past year. The S&P 500 Index is up 9.7% for the last 12 months.
