The report, which quotes a senior official, says the private emails of all top national security and trade officials were targeted. Email contact lists were harvested and malware sent to friends and colleagues. The time period of the campaign overlaps with Hillary Clinton’s use of private email while she was Secretary of State, but the names of the officials whose emails were stolen were not disclosed.
